If I hear one more arsehole say “Yes, men do get raped but guess what? Most of them were raped by other men!”  I will have to slap a bitch.

It doesn’t matter what gender the perpetrator is. Male rape victims are severely undermined in society and I’m tired of feminists getting all defensive like mentioning male rape statistics is a form of derailing.

The problem with political correctness is it teaches you to not say racist shit rather than not be racist. You can still have racism in your heart (and you probably do) but you “know” to keep it to yourself out of fear of repercussions rather than fear of being a bad person.

I think this is very true. I can’t stand it when people say that you can’t say this word or that word because all it does is give it power to harm others.  Plus it only justifies any victim complexes some people out there may have, like just about every Daily Mail reader for example.

You can’t shame the discrimination out of someone. They can only change by learning empathy and that’s surprisingly hard to do for most people. If somebody is not part of our clan, we tend to be suspicious of them. It’s in our nature. It doesn’t mean we can’t overcome that; just that it takes time. We’re reversing literally millions of years of evolution, here, and given just how much progress we have made just in the past 100 years or so, we’re making pretty good progress.

I don’t identify as an MRA and often find the MRM to be quite divisive and at times counterproductive to their own causes. However, I think to dismiss everything that they bring up is an act of intellectual dishonesty on the part of feminists. Whether you believe in a patriarchy or in some kind of perverse matriarchy where women are in actual fact the ones that have the privilege, don’t you think that these issues should be talked about? I’m pretty sure that MRA’s would be very happy to find a middle ground with feminists and vice versa. You both want the same thing, anyway (at least in theory).

I just think that too many times, people spend their time trying to defend ideologies instead of being activists. I don’t need to hear people tell me why they still need feminism and I don’t need to hear people preach on about why they need the MRM. I don’t want to read the billionth essay on "Men’s Issues that Feminists are Working On" and I don’t want to hear someone tell me again and again and again that feminists “hate men”. I want to see results and I think that the only way for results to happen is if both groups swallow their pride and just find some kind of common ground. I mean, even atheists and religious folk can do it when it comes to important issues.

I know I do sound like I side with the MRM a lot more than the feminists, but it’s only because there are so many bullshit things that feminists say that go unchecked because feminism is this huge sacred cow that we dare not offend. MRA’s are always being attacked, sometimes for legitimate reasons but often because too many young feminists refuse to actually listen to what their actual agenda is.

When did rape become worse than murder?

Rape is a hate crime committed against the entire female sex, murder is a crime committed against one person. This is like asking when did lynching become worse than murder.

Yeah, the KKK only killed individual people. They didn’t commit hate crimes at all, amirite?

And, y’know, rape is always ever male on female.

UUGGGGHHH

Why is it that when feminists get their hands on something amazing, they have to ruin it and make it un-amazing?

So there’s a Kickstarter for to make a TV show called 'Bee and Puppycat' at Frederator Studios.I guess they have been needing to use crowd funding lately, eh. Anyway this is a cool thing, except that one of my friends caught wind of this only recently and re-blogged this post promoting the kickstarter, urging people to keep funding the project for the pure and simple reason that it has a female as a main character.

Look, as an animation student I get that animation is a bit of a sausage fest, but we’re actually making a lot of progress lately. More and more women are working in animation than ever and we are seeing far more female led stuff these days. Okay, it won’t replace over a century of a male dominated industry, but geez guys! I want to fund this thing because it looks cool, not because it bolsters the feminist movement. Now i sort of don’t want to fund it anymore because you turned an awesome project into a political agenda.
